IT Officer - Day Shift - Foreign Company!

Responsibilities:

Troubleshoot user and network issues including troubleshooting and triage.
Install and perform minor repairs to hardware, software, and peripheral equipment, following design or installation specifications.
Manage and maintain VoIP servers, tools and applications including but not limited to hardware configurations, software application upgrades, configurations and maintenance, setting up and managing accounts.
Administer Linux servers.
LAN administration and tech support including routers, layer 3 switches and firewalls.
Physical hardware on-site replacement and troubleshooting of servers and PC desktops.
Oversee the daily performance of computer systems.
Set up equipment for employee use, performing or ensuring proper installation of cables, operating systems and appropriate software.
Maintain record of daily data communication transactions, problems, remedial action taken and installation activities.
Confer with internal and external employees and management to establish requirements for new systems or modifications.
Prepare evaluations of software or hardware and recommend improvements or upgrades.
Inspect equipment and read order sheets to prepare for delivery to users.
Enter commands and observe system functioning to verify correct operations and detect errors.
Coordinate with vendors/suppliers or partners for trouble diagnostics and resolution.
Refer major hardware or software problems or defective products to vendors or technicians for service.

Maintain inventory of systems, tools and other related items.
Support Daily IT Operation, Backups, Security and Assistance to users.
Research hardware and software options to determine best solutions to expansion and reliability.
Manage the security of data assets including backup, antivirus and asset management.

Requirements:

Excellent oral & written communication skills in English. Confidence in speaking to English-speaking clients in their language. This is an English-speaking company with an English-only policy.
Must possess at least a Bachelor's/College Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering (Computer/Telecommunications) or equivalent.
Preferably with 5 years working experience in IT support or helpdesk is required for this position.
Experience with both hardware and software issue resolution.
Proficient in Internet related applications such as e-mail clients, FTP clients and web browsers.
Able to promptly answer & support related computer hardware, software and other electronic communication.
Able to work independently and efficiently to meet deadlines.
Self-motivated, detail-oriented, organized and service-oriented.
Excellent communication, interpersonal, organizational, and presentation skills.
Ability to analyze, identify requests quickly and able to communicate with all levels of technology users.
Ability to keep up with new hardware, software and telecommunication technology.
Must be willing to work longer hours as required.
Must be available and willing to work 5:30am to 2:30pm from October to March each year and 6:30am to 3:30pm from April to September.
Must be willing to work in Mandaluyong City with visits to Makati office occasionally.
