Planet Water is looking for applicants to fill the position of Program Manager, Philippines. This position, based in / near Manila, will have the following responsibilities:
• Oversees and manages all in-country program/project deployment activities for PW

• Project identification: Works with partner organizations to identify new project recipients

• Project support: Acquires technical, operating, and maintenance knowledge of the PW solution and provides training and technical support to partner organizations implementing projects

• Project verification: Verifies the successful completion of projects

• Project monitoring: Monitors the ongoing condition of projects post-deployment

• Water-Health & Hygiene education program: Works with PW Education Director to implement education program into primary school project sites and conduct teacher training follow-up visits – potential for regional (Asia Pacific) involvement

• Establishes and manages in-country partner relationships

• Facilitates the localization (sourcing) of select system components

• Defines and deploys sustainability models appropriate for local communities

• Works in cooperation with the PW Management on country-level program planning

• Represents PW and interacts with partners including government, and national / international NPOs

Essential requirements for this position are as follows:
• University graduate

• At least 5 years working experience with NGOs with a successful record in managing an NGO program/project portfolio

• Demonstrated skills in training and / or education

• Excellent command of written and spoken English

• Good communication and interpersonal skills, analytical skills, negotiation skills, and leadership skills

• Computer literate including proficiency with Microsoft Office programs – Word, Excel, and Powerpoint

• Self motivated, results oriented, assertive, and ability to work independently

• Passport holder and willingness to travel regionally as needed

Planet Water is a US based, non-profit organization focusing on bringing clean, safe water to disadvantaged communities in the developing world through the installation of water purification systems. Our work is focused on schools and rural villages where access to clean water is either non-existent or very limited.
