Test Engineer (TE) - Mainframe Testing

Job Responsibilities:

• Understand the business requirements to design, develop and execute Test Plans and cases.
• Participate in meetings/walkthrough session/group meetings
• Perform Testing for assigned projects and should be able to work independently
• Collaborate with developers/SA’s to work on the requirements and the defects
• Provide timely updates on tasks to reporting Project Lead
• Build a relationship with project stakeholders/ business partners
• Ensure compliance with organization and project defined standards and processes

Minimum Requirements:

- Bachelor's Degree
- 2 - 3.5 years of relevant experience.
- Proficient in different kind of Testing (Black Box - System, Integration, Regression etc), Test Planning (Designing of Test Scenarios/Cases), Execution.
- Hands on knowledge of Test Management tools like Test Director/ Quality Center and SQL queries (Creation, execution and verification).
- Understands SDLC, STLC and different Test Methodologies
- Understands and should be able to log into different regions of IBM mainframes (TSO, CICS)
- Understands the various panels in ISPF.
- Understanding of the concepts of VSAM Files.
- Hands on experience in executing the existing JCL’s for programs and checking the jobs in spool (SDSF;ST) and looking at various outputs.
- Hands on in writing/executing/verifying results of SQL's in DB2 (QMF, SPUFI)
