Software Engineer ESB (Java + SQL)
Engagement Overview:
eServices Billing (ESB) is a comprehensive initiative that has revolutionized how UnitedHealth Group delivers billing, bill presentment and payment, accounts receivable processing and eligibility services to its customers.
Job Responsibilities:
We are currently looking for dedicated professionals to fulfill the following job responsibilities in the above application in SSS (formerly OM – production support) team GSD, Manilla.
• Provide L2 & L3 support in a dynamic production support environment
• Adherence to all production support - service operation & transition processes like Problem Management, Incident Management, Change Management, Release & Deployment Management
• Use of HPSM tool for day to day service operation tasks
• Analyzing issues, provide root cause analysis, work around & resolution related to Application Support tasks
• Participate in war rooms and on-call support
• Ensure audit compliance with organization and project defined standards and processes
• Support production deployment, deployment and back-out plans & checkouts
• Self starter and initiator to get things done for the project
• Provide timely updates on risks, issues and escalations along with an action plan to the stakeholders
• Identify and propose application performance & process improvement initiatives
Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree
- 2 years experience working on Java/J2EE applications.
- 2-3 years experience in enterprise application development.
- 1-2 years experience working within DB2 Database with strong SQL knowledge
- 2 years of user level experience working on UNIX & KORN shell scripting
- Exposure in using Websphere Application Server (WAS) and Clearcase repository are preferred.
- Experience in health care domain would be an added advantage.
- Excellent communication, analytical and debugging skills

We are currently looking for dedicated professionals to fulfill the following job responsibilities in the above application in SSS (formerly OM – production support) team GSD, Manilla.
• Leading an OM (Operations and Maintenance) team of 8 - 10 resources
• Close coordination with onshore team and business stakeholders on issues and resolution
• Provide support on planning, estimation, monitoring & tracking of day to day tasks and activities to the stakeholders
• Provide functional, technical and process expertise to the team
• Provide L2 & L3 support in a dynamic production support environment
• Adherence to all production support - service operation & transition processes like Problem Management, Incident Management, Change Management, Release & Deployment Management
• Use of HPSM tool for day to day service operation tasks
• Analyzing issues, provide root cause analysis, work around & resolution related to Application Support tasks

- Must have managed a team size of 4 – 6 people in the past
- Must have experience of planning, estimation, monitoring & tracking of team’s work
- Must have experience of conducting 1:1s, appraisals for the team
- Experience in health care domain would be an added advantage.
