Development Technologies/Platform:
Our immediate goal is to develop a multi-tiered search application software utilizing open-source/portable technologies, i.e., Java/J2EE, MySQL and Lucene. Our choice enterprise application platform is JBoss which provides full support of J2EE and Web Services standards, incorporates server-side EJB3, JNDI, JTA and Hibernate framework support, and integrates the Apache Tomcat webserver (with built-in JSP/Java Servlet support) and the Seam web development framework (which complements and extends EJB3, JSF, AJAX and Richfaces UI component models). Our choice hosting platform for our web applications and database is Linux/Unix.

Senior Java Developers
(National Capital Reg - Quezon Avenue, South Triangle, Quezon City)
Responsibilities:
Senior Java Developers will be responsible for overall design translation, development and deployment,
Will be expected to provide architectural input to project-related decisions as well as participate in defining solutions that include both hardware and software components.
Programmers will be expected to work independently or in teams with minimum supervision, and must use industry best practices to deliver high-quality code.
Programming teams will be organized to work on front-end interfaces and back-end interfaces simultaneously.
Requirements:
5+ years professional software development experience utilizing Java/J2EE technologies
Bachelors/Masters Degree in Computer Science/Information Technology, or equivalent experience preferred
Understanding of networking and how applications work through networks required
Solid experience with MySQL database platform preferred
Strong MySQL design, tuning, and experience with very large databases preferred
Familiarity with JBoss application server and Unix/Linux exposure preferred
Familiarity with JUnit testing and Subversion control preferred
High regard will be placed on extended experience in the following areas:
Development with Lucene or similar search technology, preferably for a search-related service provider
For front-end programming, utilizing Java web development frameworks that integrate JSF, EJB3 and AJAX technologies (preferably Seam) and UI component libraries (preferably RichFaces/PrimeFaces)
For back-end programming, utilizing object-relational mapping tools (preferably Hibernate and Java Persistence API) and MySQL InnoDB pluggable storage engine
Knowledge of J2EE design principles and patterns for enterprise applications, including layering, data-access objects, approaches to transaction demarcation, and security in Java/J2EE
Development of graphical dashboard interfaces using ChartFX or WebCharts3D
