Lee Construction Limited is a fully Kenyan owned Company involved in a wide variety of development projects and has successfully completed Civil Engineering and Environmental Services including: water supply and reticulation, dams, sewerage and drainage, building works, road construction, telecommunications and power works.

The Position

We are currently recruiting for the position of Plant and Equipment Assistant to assist in the management and maintenance of motor vehicle and plant equipments for the various Projects.

For this position, Lee Construction seeks someone who is highly motivated with strong problem solving skills and high level communication skills (both oral and written).

Job Specification

Academic: Minimum Certificate in plant engineering or mechanical engineering

Professional: Logistics and Supplies qualification

Experience: At least 4 years in automotive and plant maintenance

Key skills and qualities

Good interpersonal skills,
excellent negotiation skills,
ability to multi task,
prioritize and work under pressure;
analytical and able to communicate effectively and in a timely manner. Advice on repairs of equipment and plant whilst conducting site visitsPlan and schedule maintenance of plant and equipment;Maintaining of daily work tickets; Getting all documentation for plants and motor vehicle on time i.e. insurance, inspections etc and ensuring that the same are up to date; Documents job cards system and field store systems;Monitor and Control fuel consumptions; Administer the stock control and inventory management function;Work in collaboration with the site workshop staff to make sure that the equipment is safe and operates at peak conditions every time;Keep records of equipment failures and provide needed information and data to the Site Administrator and Plant and equipment Manager;Make sure that vendor maintenance and repair manuals are kept current and filed properly; Implementation and enforcement of Transport and procurement regulations, policies and procedures.Application Process

Key Responsibilities:

Participate in the creation and maintenance of a comprehensive Catalogue for all IS Services provided by the IS department in order to be clear on the IS Services provided.Engage in the development of a robust Continuous Service Improvement Plan (CSIP) driven by analysis and review of service performance against SLAs and OLAs. Participate in the negotiation, define and regularly track agreed levels of IS Services with internal customer departments in order to support SLA’s with customers.Participate in the negotiation, define and regularly track agreed levels of IS Services with internal service providers (e.g. IS Comms & Networks, Systems Operations, IS Development, Outstation Support, Desktop & Imaging, Network & Domain Services, etc) in order to ensure coordinated effort in IS Service Delivery. Continuously create awareness and training, of and adherence to Service Level processes in IS Customers and in IS.Engage in monitoring of service delivery and performance from 3rd party IS Service suppliers ensuring contractual targets are achieved and expectations met.Acknowledge customer complaints, compliments or suggestions (opportunities to improve) to assure customer and indicate cause of action. Analyze opportunities to improve in order to classify and identify trends.
