The Quality Control Officer will ensure GPS Technology Services team meets all the quality requirements established by the business and the client, and that systems deployed to production have met all client requirements as documented. This role is expected to further reduce, if not eliminate, all defects from the client.

•Effectively work with Business Analysts and Project Managers to gather and document project requirements.

•Responsible for ensuring test cases are created prior to start of development and that Development Leads and/ or Project Managers signs off on these test cases.

• Develop and coordinate test plans, thereby ensuring plans are complete and will validate testing.

•Design and develop manual test cases, create test environments (if needed), ensure the proper execution of test cases and record their results.

•Verify whether the procedure or process documented and signed off for the project has been followed.

•Carry out functional testing on the system based on the client specification and test cases.

•Report or log defects using tools like Quality Center, indicate owner of the defect, and tabulate errors for analysis and creation of corrective measure to prevent the same errors from happening again.

•Responsible for checking the output against specific delivery requirements

•Create and maintain QC checklists per process to easily identify deviation from established procedure.

•Perform final sign off on the system as condition for production system release.

•Should have post-secondary education – either at the degree level or a relevant professional diploma or certificate

•1-3 years of relevant/related working experience

•Have prior experience in test case writing

•Able to create test plans and identify which types of testing would be most

•Experience in automated testing using quick test professional (QTP) would be an added advantage
