MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
BS Degree in Civil Engineering +  7 years of experience; Certificates: ICBO or ACI;  Experience preferably in the oil, gas or petrochemical field;  thorough working knowledge of engineering practices, quality management systems (QMS),  applicable Civil / Plumbing industry standards  such as Uniform Building Code, Uniform Plumbing Code, American Concrete Institute, American Water Works Association, AASHTO, etc. Working knowledge of quality system standards and methods (ISO 9001).

BASIC FUNCTIONS:

Perform quality activities on capital projects covering Civil/Plumbing Engineering and activities; ensure contractor's work is in compliance with Saudi Aramco engineering requirements, standards, procedures, specifications; provide training to others as and when required.

The Role:
As the Materials Preservation Inspector, you will report to the Lead Mechanical Engineer. This position will be based in Batangas, with a preferred start date of 1st December 2012. The expected duration in Batangas will be to end 2014, and possibly be transferred to site on Curtis Island, Gladstone, Queensland, Australia.

Responsibilities:
Report on Contractor compliance with Project Specification and Material documents related to material preservation and equipment maintenance.
Monitor the EPC Contractor in the execution of his responsibilities under the EPC Contract in respect of material preservation and equipment maintenance.
Check and confirm status of Contractors compliance with all relevant Quality Assurance Plans, Procedures, Inspection and Material records.
Monitor and audit all material activities related to storage, preservation and maintenance of all Project materials and equipment on a day-to-day basis and as directed by Lead Mechanical Engineer.
Maintain a status report of materials arrived and installed against planned dates and location details of all equipment in temporary lay-down areas
Verify that all Material documents used on site are the current revision.
Check that Superseded documents are withdrawn from use.

Site Supervision:
Review and comment on Contractors maintenance and preservation schedules.
Provide progress reports to the Lead Mechanical Engineer as directed.
Co-ordinate with the other Company discipline groups as directed by the Lead Mechanical Engineer

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Minimum of 10 - 15 years relevant experience, including significant relevant experience on large multi-national and multi-location projects.
Qualified mechanical inspector with experience in material preservation and storage

3 Years Diploma in relevant discipline.
Certification in AWS- CWI or TWI –CSWIP, ASNT Level II certificates in RT, PT, MT & UT.
Thorough knowledge of codes such as ASME B31.3, SEC V and IX.
Total 3 years experience including 6 years experience in inspection and 4 years of which in oil & gas or petro

To monitor Welder performance and conduct visual inspections of welds and repairs of welds in accordance with
Company procedures and international codes of practice.
To monitor Welder performance and their repair rates in accordance with job quality requirements.
To conduct training of Welders for new techniques and additional processes as per job requirements.
To provide verification of electrodes backing and holding temperature including control and issue.
To check, inspect and test incoming welding materials to ensure they meet job quality specifications.
To undertake workshop verification of welding machine and electrode baking and storage to ensure all equipment
meets job requirement specifications.
To conduct fit up and dimension inspections as per Inspection and Test Plan (ITP) and review radiography test film.
To check & record welding parameters and verify compliance with approved Welding Procedure Specifications (WPS)
and technical procedures.
Verification of Piping Test packages, punch list preparation and testing piping systems

3 Year diploma in relevant discipline.
Inspector shall satisfy the requirements of a fully qualified instrument technician/engineer meeting the requirements laid out by the instrument society of America or the institute of measurement and control.
Should have thorough working knowledge of the national electric Code/NFPA70 or equivalent standards.
Total 10 years experience including 6 years experience in inspection and 4 years of which in oil & gas or petro
chemical industries
With experience in following activities;
Inspection of cable Trays and Cable laying installation for various types of instrument cables like core,
pair, triad Shield and unshielded cables.
Ensuring the quality of the filed instruments, cables, junction box, and tubing are installed in
accordance to client contract specifications.
Perform the inspection & calibration of field instruments and preparation of calibration certificates as
per the client specifications/ standards.
Verify the pre commissioning inspection activities for the filed instruments and panels inside Control Room (like DCS, ESD, PLC, SCADA, UPS, Marshalling Panel, InterposingPanel and F&G system). Functional tests of panels. 
Reading P&ID, Loop checking, Logic checking and trouble shooting of field instruments.  Preparation of I/O list, I/O assignment, logic diagrams.
