Job Description
T/A Planner : MAINTENANCE DEPT. Required Qualifications and Experience: Key Responsibilities: 5+ years chemical plant/refinery experience with specific emphasis in maintenance planning;
Engineering degree is preferred
Demonstrated ability to lead with a record of proactive accomplishment.
Detailed planning and critical path scheduling skills and experience is required.
Planning Tool experience, such as P3 or P6 is required.
Proficient with planning civil and piping work, vessels, exchangers and other fixed equipment.
Experience with planning rotating equipment and instrumentation/electrical is a plus.
Understand turnaround and project scheduling principles.
Turnaround and shutdown planning experience a plus.
Ability to work as a team lead and/or team participant.
Ability to make critical decisions, problem solve and analyze.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Key job responsibilities include, but are not necessarily limited to, the following:
Develop the integrated turnaround schedule for multiple projects/turnarounds. Utilize scheduling software to develop one integrated schedule for operations, capital and expense projects into one overall execution schedule for each major turnaround.
Develop cost estimates and manpower requirements for major turnarounds.
Provide schedule updates and optimization during turnaround execution. Lead schedule review meetings during planning and execution.
Provide cost updates and allocations before, during, and after turnarounds.
Maintain work scope logs for the turnarounds.
Prepare update reports to assist turnaround personnel in planning and controlling daily turnaround work. These include S-curves, resource histograms, 48-hour look-ahead reports, etc.
